Where is Scoria Reach and how to get there
Scoria Reach is a new map area that looks like a molten desert island. Many players noticed the island feels placed near the edge of the current map routes. So if you’re exploring, look for the lava biome and new NPCs/merchant setups.
Tip: The first time you arrive, you’ll start taking heat damage fast. Your first goal is not “rare fish” but it’s survival gear.

Important: it does not make you fully immune and you still need to leave the volcano sometimes

Bring Fish Radar so you can find micro-areas with unique fish pools (Scoria Reach has “hidden fish” that are location-specific).

Crag Crab Mining
In Scoria Mines you’ll find Crag Crabs. The loop:
Fish near the lava clam areas to obtain pearls
Go to Scoria Mines and equip a pearl
Send a crab to mine
Wait a short time, then claim the mined materials

Run multiple crabs at once (feed pearls whenever you can)
While they mine, keep fishing Bestiary entries nearby

Scoria Reach introduces a Skeletal Leviathan hunt inside the volcano. Its a dangerous encounter with a small chance to appear under certain conditions (agitated/new night).
